Dee in Hosanna

Dee is now in her sixth year of serving as a missionary educator in Ethiopia. She worked to set up a kindergarten for 200+ students near Butajira, Ethiopia. When the teachers were competent in managing their own school she went to Hosanna, Ethiopia. Now, her focus is on training teachers to become trainers of other teachers. The lab school is the Kindergarten of the Hosanna Kale Heywet Church. Dee is also working with Hanna's Orphans to set up an orphanage which opened there in July of 2009.

Photo Entry

I wanted to shared this photo of a larger Tukul in a pretty setting here in Yetebon. Rectangular houses with metal roofs are quickly replacing the traditional grass roof huts.

Salem (who my daughter, Catherine calls "Drama Queen") is sharing a valentine. She is a KG student and filled with laughter, most of the time.

My friend from our Yetebon church stands beside her unfinished new home. Her tukul in the background is slowly falling in.

A neighbor has made butter by rocking the rounded-bottom clay pot. She reaches in to take the butter out.

Asada, one of your nurses and evangelist , traveled with us to Hosanna to visit to visit Johannas who has just started attending seminary. Johannas has been an evangelist in the Yetebon region of Ethiopia for several years. We have no pastor at the Yetebon church so we are hoping that God will call someone soon or will send Johannas back to us when he finishes Seminary.
