Dee in Hosanna

Dee is now in her sixth year of serving as a missionary educator in Ethiopia. She worked to set up a kindergarten for 200+ students near Butajira, Ethiopia. When the teachers were competent in managing their own school she went to Hosanna, Ethiopia. Now, her focus is on training teachers to become trainers of other teachers. The lab school is the Kindergarten of the Hosanna Kale Heywet Church. Dee is also working with Hanna's Orphans to set up an orphanage which opened there in July of 2009.

Dee in Ethiopia

Dear Friends,
It is good to be back to Yetebon, Ethiopia (which is a village, not on a map with the nearest map site being the village of Butejeri).
I have brought another English teacher, Scott Martell, who is a journalist and editor. He will be a great help to our students who are preparing to take their national exams.
The community was very dry when we arrived but rains are coming as I speak, and I am hopeful that we will not have a flicker of power outage before I finish this.
Please look at the attachment of a photo of Yetebon on a beautiful day.

All is well, Hope all is good for each of you.

In His Service,
Dee

Return to Ethiopia

Dear Family and Friends,
I arrived in Addis Ababa last night after a 23 hour journey.
I had a whirl-wind visit in the states and kept very busy.

Highlights: Short visits with family, friends, church, Open-House for me at Jackie Tetreaults, seeing my first grandbaby for the first time, having meals with friends, dinner at Pam Gethard's, the Mission's Conference at Sanibel Community Church, daughter Catherine's visit from Georgia, my visit with son and wife, John and Kathy and baby Savannah, time with son Thomas, Mother, brother Brant and his wife Carolyn, my Mother, stay with Jackie and many errands to run---HOW DID SO MUCH HAPPEN IN 3 SHORT WEEKS?! and telephone contacts with loved ones, lots of hugs and prayers.

It was a busy time in the states but I got much accomplished: taxes, closing a storage locker, talking with groups who work for the Lord, and returning with many supplies for Project Mercy. I am eager to get back to see all the children, teachers, and friends in Yetebon (a 2 hour drive from Addis where I have arrived). Pray for peace and stability and progress for Ethiopia and for the work of Project Mercy.

Forgive me if I have left anyone/anything out. You are all important to me and I am very grateful for your love and support.

In His Service,
Dee Donalson
