An update: preparing for transition
My first letter to you was about the decision to be made of staying
with Project Mercy (where I wanted to be) or going under another
Not-for-Profit agency if God directed.
Then, I sent out information about New Mission Systems International
www.nms-intl.org which will be my new umbrella from the U.S. and
it is based right here in Ft. Myers, FL.
The last e-mail was about receiving the affirmation from God to go
serve Him in Hosanna, Ethiopia at the Kale Hewitt (EKHC) Bible College.
I am to teach English to the students, set up a kindergarten for children
of students and faculty, and help open the new teachers' training
college EKHC is building near Hosanna. This is a strictly volunteer position
and, not only do I have to raise my own support, but I have also been
asked to help raise funds for the College, which does not have a state-side
office for support.
Now, I am in the process of meeting all the requirements of NMSI, which
includes 10 weeks of training (one week at Missionary Training Institute [MTI]
in CO and 8 weeks at NMSIs home office here in Ft. Myers, FL); coordinating
things with EKHC central office in Addis Ababa for renewing residence visa,
move to the Bible College, and plans for travel there after training in November.
So, if you are still with me, I will keep you updated with more brief reports.
God bless all of you and a special thanks to those who are keeping up with
my emails and no bad feeling toward does who have maxed out on emails.
In His Service,
Dee Donalson
